The latest first-person shooter game in the Far Cry Universe is set in an open world environment. Players can explore the open world of the game on foot or by making use of various vehicles and the action takes place in the fictional Hope County, Montana. Since New Dawn is a direct sequel to Far Cry 5, the game’s world is affected by the nuclear war that happened in Far Cry 5. The nuclear war in the earlier installment had caused the game’s landscape to change. Consequently, new areas will be there in the game for the players to explore.
Far Cry: New Dawn brings The Guns for Hire and The Fangs for Hire systems from Far Cry 5 and the character can recruit human survivors and animals as helpers. Besides adding new characters, the game has included characters from Far Cry 5 also. Some new weapons like the Saw Launcher have also been introduced in the game. The weapons and attachments can be upgraded to three different levels with the help of crafting and finishing missions. Players can also craft vehicles in the game.
